Viva Engage to be discontinued in 3 March 2026

The use of the communications platform Microsoft Viva Engage (formerly Yammer), which has long been in use at the University, will be discontinued on 3 March 2026. The platform will be discontinued due to its low level of use and the fact that there are other suitable apps for instant messaging, such as Teams, that are used at the University.

Students have mainly used Viva Engage for miscellaneous advertisements about rental apartments or furniture for sale. In the future, we recommend using, for example, free housing rental services and social media groups, of which there are lots online.
