Grant researcher contract for doctoral researchers
As a grant-funded doctoral researcher you should always conclude a grant researcher contract with the University to ensure the required access rights and coverage by the communications of your research community. With the grant researcher contract, researchers ensure their integration into the research community for which the agreement is made. As a grant researcher, you will receive i.e. the following benefits:
- You will be added to faculty mailing lists and granted access rights to workgroups equal to those of employees.
- You will be added to the University of Helsinki People Finder.
- Your personal profile in the University’s Research Portal does not expire after you graduate and your study right ends.
- You have the right to vote in the University’s administrative elections.
- You have the right to participate in staff training offered by the university. In the case of the most popular training offerings, employed staff may have to be given priority.
- You can indicate your affiliation with the University of Helsinki in conferences and other academic contexts.
- You have the right to utilise support provided by Research Funding Services according to the same terms as employed researchers (main focus on postdoctoral researchers).
In other words, the grant researcher contract is more than an agreement on work facilities. As a grant researcher you should conclude the contract even if you do not need a workspace. For concluding the contract, please contact HR Services at your home faculty.
